Aila got the final tube out of her chest. She lost quite a bit of fluids on the way home from the surgeon's office, but she's definitely on the mend. The next step in treatment is unknown.
But there will be further treatment. In the meantime, she can shower! Yay!
Jesse took the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT) test at school. His score has branded him as "gifted". (Pssst. I think he can read our brains!)
This means special instruction outside of the normal classroom activities. Plus, special snacks. Yay!
All this was found out against this backdrop.
